Most standard two-post lifts require a ceiling of at least 12 feet. Extended-height models such as the BendPak 10AP-168 (168" overall height) need roughly 14 feet, while floorplate and open-top models like the 9APF are designed specifically for low-ceiling garages.

A clearfloor lift routes hydraulic lines and equalization cables through an overhead beam, leaving the floor between columns completely open. A floorplate lift routes them through a low steel plate on the floor, eliminating overhead obstructions - ideal for tall vans and low ceilings.

BendPak generally requires a minimum 4-6 inch reinforced concrete slab (3,000+ PSI, cured), depending on model. Always consult the installation manual for your specific lift before anchoring.

Many BendPak two-post models, including the 10AP series, are ALI Certified to the ANSI/ALI ALCTV standard. Certification status is listed on each product page.

Most BendPak four-post lifts are freestanding and do not require anchoring for normal use. Optional caster kits let you reposition the lift. Anchoring may be required for alignment work or by local codes.

Low-rise lifts excel at tire and wheel service, brake jobs, suspension work, body repair and detailing. They lift the vehicle 24-30 inches - enough for comfortable seated or creeper-based work.

Most run on standard 110V or 220V power and many models, like the LR-60P, are fully portable with roller kits. Flush-mount pit models are permanently installed in a shallow recess.
